My Story

I grew up in a household that nurtured my curious and stubborn spirit. Encouraged to always ask questions, I developed a strong desire to unravel and understand the people and the world around me. When I was younger, everything would pique my interest, making me jump from one thing to another. I would try tennis for a few weeks, swimming for the next few and horse riding the next month; I would enjoy linear algebra in one semester and cognitive psychology another. While many saw a fleeting mind, I saw a raving desire to learn and experience new things. Harnessing this, I grew into someone with the ability to pick up new ideas quickly and adapt with ease.

I found economics and finance to be the natural fit for my curiosity and analytical mindset. This field, in allowing me to explore how individuals, markets, and institutions make decisions, creates a space where I can weave together other disciplines. Deeply interconnected with the world, it constantly presents fresh questions to explore, keeping my desire to learn fully engaged.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance at Ashoka University in India. The multidisciplinary approach at Ashoka has allowed me to explore a wide range of subjects, enriching my understanding of my chosen discipline.

What draws me most to economics is its focus on mechanisms and cause-and-effect reasoning. I enjoy tracing how one decision leads to another. Finance, in particular, allows me to follow the flow of money. From household savings to banks, investments, and real-world projects, I can understand how these movements influence growth and development. The possibility of shaping these flows through thoughtful interventions is especially compelling, and working on projects centered on these ideas has further strengthened my interest in the field.

Now in my third year, I continuously seek opportunities to apply my skills and grow my knowledge. Looking ahead, I aspire to build a career that allows me to influence the flow of capital thereby linking financial systems to real economic outcomes.
